NIGHTS OF WINE AND FILM
The Tumbleweed 3rd annual film festival and wine tasting is happening August
3rd, 4th and 5th, 2012 in Oroville, WA. We created this film festival to bring
the love of independent filmmaking and independent winemaking together.
For filmmakers, we provide a nurturing experience, and strive to introduce your films to
as many new viewers as possible. We created the Tumbleweed Film Festival (TwFF) as
filmmakers who understand that "Every Film Matters"! Whether or not your submission
makes the final cut, every film submitted to TwFF receives a short, expert review. Also,
because of TwFF's on-going "Best of Fest" series, select filmmakers may have their
films shown at venues throughout the year.
Watch Globally, Drink Locally
For movie goers, we offer you a fun, unique experience.
Why Oroville, Washington in Okanogan County? This sleepy town, nestled
just 5 minutes south of Canada BC, was selected to host TwFF because of its
bountiful vineyards, set in the beautiful backdrop of the Cascade Mountains
and Eastern Washington's mighty river valleys. Okanogan County is as much of a last frontier as Alaska but largely unexplored by tourism. We want your vacation to be as unique as our festival's movies and wines.
Explore the Beautiful Okanogans!
There is plenty to do during the day. Head for the hills for hiking or mountain biking. Float down the
mighty Okanogan River with a canoe, kayak or raft. Water ski or jet ski on the the lake.
Explore a ghost town. Sample wines from award winning wineries in the Okanogans
of the U.S and Canada. Drive five miles north to spend some time in BC. Play golf or
fish. Whether you choose to relax in the beautiful scenery or frolic in the sun, it will be a
unique experience. And when the sun goes down you will have lots of great films from
around the world to watch.
