2011 TUMBLEWEED FILM FESTIVAL! Oroville, Washington

Aug 4th Veranda Beach

Aug 5th Alpine Brewing

Aug 6th Esther Bricques Winery

Watch globally, drink locally!
Each night we'll feature short films from around the world while you enjoy the local libations (wine & beer) of the region.

Where is it?
You'll find the Tumbleweed Film Festival in the beautiful Okanogan

(pronounced ok-e-nog-an) Up in the far northeast part of Washington state, it's one of the most scenic and remote areas of Washington. So, why have a film festival out here? Because it's a great place to enjoy the outdoors and get away from it all. It also has a lot of local wineries! And, best of all, the weather here is usually nice! (Unlike the Western side of the state, visitors can rely on plenty of dry, sunny weather!)

The film festival is based in Oroville, just 5 hours drive from Seattle, and Vancouver British Columbia. And only 5 miles south of Canada's sunny Okanagan County in British Columbia.

Explore the outdoors during the day and watch films at night!
Besides breathtaking views of sandy beach lakes and pine covered hills, there's plenty to do during the day. Head for the hills for hiking or mountain biking. Float down the mighty Okonogan River with a canoe, kayak or pool raft. Water ski or jet ski on the the lake. Explore a ghost town. Sample wines from award winning wineries in the Okanogans of the U.S and Canada. Drive five miles north to spend some time in BC. Play golf or fish. Whether you choose to relax in the beautiful scenery or frolic in the sun, it will be a unique experience. And when the sun goes down you will have lots of great films from around the world to watch.
